CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

All FLATED® products are made with durable drop-stitch fabric which allows a product to maintain its shape when it is inflated to high pressure. With tens of thousands of tough polyester threads, drop-stitch fabric allows for flat surfaces that can be inflated to rock-hard rigidity. Hard-shell performance meets easy transportation and storage. Sidewalls use PVC layers specifically manufactured for superior air holding. Unlike typical PVC tarpaulin, the specialized sidewall material features internal fibers coated in liquid PVC before incorporation with the outer PVC layer, making the layers more durable and resilient than ever before.

STORES IN A SMALL BAG

The Air-Carrier deflates, rolls up, and stores in the included Flated bag. The small storage bag means you have more room in your garage or closet. Take your Air-Carrier on your next flight and attach it to your rental car to make a compact comfortable for the whole family.

TINTED VINYL WINDOWS

The Flated Air-Topper comes with 2 side and 1 rear velcro attached zippable vinyl windows. Once your Air-Topper is installed you can attach your windows and then zip and roll, using the velcro straps to secure them while rolled up or down.

TIE DOWNS AND HANDLES

The Air-Topper™ comes with 4 tie down D-rings for securing your boards, kayak, or whatever else needs to be tied down to the roof. We also added 2 web handles for carrying your topper while it's inflated or to grab when standing on your rear tire.

TOOLESS TIE DOWNS

The Flated Air-Topper is attached to your truck bed by utilizing the 6 J-hook tie down cam straps. Flated also includes two cam straps to connect to the bed of your truck for added security points.

MAXIMIZED STORAGE

So far I'm really happy with my flated cap. It works great for when we go to the cabin or camping when we need that extra room and when we don't need it I put it back into the bag and store it!

Easy to inflate (and I just use the hand pump), easy to maneuver and mount since I did it all myself. Easy to lock in place (ok the tip videos were extremely helpful especially the note about how to get the sides tucked in a little better). Love that we can reach through the back window into the back or other way around. Might get go back and get the pressure gauge to easily check where it is pressure wise. Also thinking about getting the bed/shelf for the bed of the truck. Customer service is great! I somehow ordered the longbed version by mistake and realized after the order had processed, the team was on it in a heartbeat and had the order canceled out so I could re do the order in minutes. They were very friendly at every step. One other little key tip…I titghtend everything down good…but also didn’t completely fill it until I had it strapped down…so the just the last couple pounds of pressure seemed to really cinch it in. Had to give the old (tap tap) “that ain’t going nowhere…” just to be safe. Looking forward getting on the road trips with it and see how it goes long term…but I sure am happy with it right now. Purchased the Full Size Air Topper about 2 Months ago for my RAM 1500. I was a bit skeptical about an inflatable topper at first, but was pleasantly surprised. It has survived winter in Maine without any issues. I haven't had to reinflate or adjust the straps or anything since installation. It's made it through half a dozen snow and ice storms, below freezing temps (as low as -17C), and roaring down the interstate at 80 mph. I've had ZERO leaks into the bed of the truck. As far as camping, we spent a few nights in it with sleeping bags and a small heater and it actually seems to hold heat better than the average fiberglass topper. I'm pretty sure this thing could survive anything. Just knock the snow and ice off and go! If I ever purchase a new truck, I'll also purchase another Flated Topper.

Overall, this is an amazing product. I got it the day before I drove from NC to MA. 12 hours of driving at speeds of up to 80-85mph and never had an issue. I only have suggestions for improvement but not necessarily any complaints. There was no instruction book for installing the cinch straps on this new version. I suggest running the middle strap on the outside of the topper to “suck it in” tight along the bed frame as it will stick out if you don’t. The back windshield/zipper will get stuck in the tailgate every time you close it because it runs past the top of the tailgate and a couple inches down to where the frame and tailgate come together. It’s not the end of the world but you have to hold up each side of the zippers to keep this from happening. Lastly, it would be nice to have a way to secure the zippers from flapping while driving as this will eventually wear against the paint on the tail gate. I used some duct tape for the long ride which led to some residue but kept the zippers from smacking against the paint. Again, overall, I could not be happier. I have left the topper on for over a week from 90 degrees to 50s and it has kept it shape and inflation. Highly recommend

Highly recommend this. Wife's a travel nurse so we got this while we where in GA. I have 2 huskies and a beagle the rode in the back. Had atleast 250 pounds with tension using straps on this puppy and we drove back home to ark mind u I installed it immediately. Left 2 weeks later 15 hrs and it didn't BUDGE!!! So I really wanted to test this monster of craftsmanship!! It stayed on for 8 days till we left for WY. Nothing on the rack but stayed inflated amd Stull didn't budge and it's 80 in SD!! Only two things I recommend is for who buys this is get a Full velcro strip for the top of the truck bed door and a full strip for the base of the flap on the back window. (If you have dogs a Little safer). Or to get a full seal. Other then that ty for a great product, 2.0 version add a velcro front window

The Air Topper is great, I installed it last Christmas and it held up well through a northern MN winter. It spent many days in -30 temperatures and didn’t lose any air. Install is quick and easy for 1 person. Customer service has been amazing dealing with any issues. Great product, Great people.

Love my topper. Installation was a breeze. From opening the package to completion took less than 20 mins. Our first test trip was an 18 hour trip to North East Ohio. It performed wonderfully on the interstate and held up to a snow storm that blew in off of Lake Eire while we there. We stored Christmas gifts and luggage inside and everything was well protected there and back. Customer service is also top notch. Had a small issue with a zipper on the back flap. Reached out to customer service and they had a replacement in the mail asap. I highly recommend both the product and company!!!
